Weekend trip

Unusual photos for this blog. But this is what consumes my boyfriends free time.
We went to Latvia last weekend.  There was downhill race in Tukums.
Very risky sport. There were guys, temporarily out of their everyday routine for months and months. Due to neck , back and arm injures. One young lad was wearing a corset. Another was turning his hear together with the waist. And the third had 7 steel spikes coming out of his swollen wrist.
Brrrr...
But if a girl decides to take on this extreme sport, it is a very fast way up. There are so few girls in this crazy activity, that in  just a few months one could probably become a Baltic champion..es.

A trip to a park

Stupid birds and plant families

 Parts that have fallen off...

You don't get to see a Turdus merula or a blackbird often. They don't usually visit Vilnius center or suburbs. You have to get out of the city or visit one of the larger parks, surrounding Vilnius down town like a wall.
The bird was moving like a panther of the bird world. But not much catlike  as one would think. I would say it moved in a less jerky manner, compared to other small birds. And it was really hunting-a short run-stop, look look, jump-attack, kill.
My society finches move in a similar way-fluently somehow. But they only hunt for seeds and cucumbers.
Poor things look rather stupid compared to the wild bird.

Odd stuff happening

Odd things were happening. It was exactly around the day  that was foretold to be the day when the end of the world comes. No drama of that scale has happened, but I've noticed some peculiarities...
There were children appearing upstream. Just like salmon.
Dried frogs danced one dimensional dances.
And snow fell down and stayed there, not even thinking of melting.

Animals in Vilnius

Note a live dog's mouth in the left middle edge of the picture. Oh why didn't the hole head fit?

Note a stuffed bat in the bottom right corner-crazy!

I've helped this guy to catch one of the kids. But he misinterpreted my intentions, cause as soon as I put my arms out to trap the animal, he shouted-it's mine!
Animals I've encountered today. Close to the city centre, a neighbourhood, called Užupis (translation from Lithuanian-"on the other side of the river").

Fast birds

Three sketches of birds. The last ones are existing ones, though not own by me any more. Oh, I miss them!

Children games

Current project-educational internet games/comics for children. These are some vector characters.

One evening...

On the evening of may the 12 Th there were people playing volleyball on a beach sand in the middle of Vilnius!

 Some street fashion...
 Purple night before...
And later.

At home

Monstera deliciosa

I think the new plant marks some kind of a point in my passion for plants. Or better said, the level of my insanity.  My home is becoming a place, soon inhabitable for people. Like a real jungle-only plants and birds. No insects, thank You...
Oh, but that makes me some kinds of a pygmy, a representative of jungle people, maybe even a cannibal...

My drawing as a tattoo!!!!!

Just to remind-I didn't tattoo my friend! I've just made the drawing. You can see it here.
The hard work was done by Rokadze (Totemas tatoo from Shiauliai).
Oh, I envy this portable jungle!
Well, I'm making a jungle at home-I'm leaving to buy a large monstera plant in half an hour! No idea how to fit it into our old Saab...

Ceropegia exchange

make a gif

Plant exchange is going on.
A tiny bit of
Ceropegia sandersonii has arrived by post from Kaunas today. A bit of other kind of ceropegia, ceropegia woodii will soon be travelling from Vilnius to Kaunas.
There are two things that I can rely on if I seek a fast relaxation. Watching my birds and plants. I am not kidding. Especially if the birds are preening. Watching the activity makes me kind of soft and even sleepy. I don't know why!
I wish yoga helped, but I just can't take the breathing. Too horrible. I don't mind standing on hands, or doing other heavy stuff (I'm extremely inflexible person), but cons-training your breathing while doing it is too  sadistic for me.

On the skin

My art has been carved into flesh!
I've  created this jungle for a friend who decided she wants my drawing covering her shoulder blades.
I saw the result today. So strange! And very exiting!
I will post some images of the tattoo after the healing process is over.

By the way-this is fauna and flora of South American jungle...
